Terms and Conditions

1. Introduction

Welcome to M&G Motors Ltd. By accessing or using our website, purchasing a vehicle, or booking a service with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

2. About Us

M&G Motors Ltd operates as a used-vehicle retailer and vehicle transport service provider.

3. Vehicle Sales

  • All vehicles are sold as described. We make every effort to ensure the accuracy of descriptions, specifications, mileage, service history, and pricing, but errors may occur.

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to satisfy themselves of a vehicle’s condition and suitability before purchase. Test drives/inspections are welcome by appointment.

  • Vehicles may be subject to prior sale.

  • All prices are inclusive of VAT (if applicable) unless otherwise stated.

4. Deposits & Payments

  • A holding deposit secures a vehicle for a specified period. Deposits are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Full payment must be received before delivery or collection of the vehicle.

  • We accept bank transfer, debit card, or other agreed payment methods. We do not accept cash of more than £4000 unless the customer can wait for us to deposit it into our bank account.

5. Delivery & Collection

  • Delivery can be arranged at an agreed rate per mile. Delivery dates and times are estimates and may vary due to factors beyond our control.

  • Risk passes to the customer upon delivery or collection of the vehicle. Title passes once full cleared funds have been received.

6. Warranty, Returns & After-Sales

  • Unless otherwise stated, vehicles are supplied with a standard 3-month limited “back-to-base” warranty covering major mechanical faults.

  • Back-to-Base Requirement:
    Customers are responsible for returning the vehicle to our dealership for any inspection or repair under warranty. We do not cover recovery, transport, or collection costs under any circumstances. 12 months AA free breakdown can be used; any additional upgrades or costs will be down to the customer.

  • Returns Within 28 Days:
    – If a vehicle is returned to us within 28 days of purchase and the return is accepted, no mileage deduction will be applied.
    – The customer remains liable for any damage or excessive wear caused after the sale.

  • After 28 Days:
    – We reserve the right to repair the vehicle in the first instance.
    – If the matter progresses to a refund stage after 28 days, a mileage deduction of £0.45 per mile will apply from the date of sale.

  • Wear-and-tear items (e.g. brakes, tyres, bulbs, clutches) and routine servicing are excluded unless expressly stated.

  • Customers must notify us promptly of any issue and give us the opportunity to inspect and/or repair the vehicle before any third-party work is undertaken.

7. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

  • If a fault arises within 30 days of purchase, you may be entitled to a refund, repair or replacement.

  • After 30 days but within 6 months, faults are not automatically presumed to have been present at the time of sale. In these cases, the customer may be required to demonstrate that the fault existed at the point of sale.

  • We will always comply with our obligations under the Act, but we reserve the right to inspect the vehicle and verify the fault before offering any remedy.

8. Vehicle Transport Services

  • All transport bookings are subject to availability and confirmation.

  • Our drivers carry full motor trade and goods-in-transit insurance up to £100,000 per vehicle.

  • Any cancellation or postponement must be notified at least 24 hours in advance; otherwise, cancellation charges may apply.

  • We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control (traffic, weather, ferry cancellations, etc.).

9. Liability

  • We will not be liable for indirect losses, consequential damages, loss of profit, or inconvenience arising from the sale, delivery or transport of a vehicle, except as required by law.

  • Our total liability is limited to the purchase price of the vehicle or the value of the transport service booked.

10. Privacy & Data Protection

We respect your privacy. Any personal data you provide will be handled in accordance with the UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy (link to your Privacy Policy).

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on this website and take effect immediately.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England & Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
